Sheffield Transport Guide

Although Sheffield is a large city, the public transport system means getting about is as easy as maxing out your overdraft is. With a large train station near the city centre, a tram system and extensive bus routes catering for both universities, if you can be bothered going to your 9 o’clock lectures then you can easily roll out of bed 10 minutes before and still get there with plenty of time to spare. Probably. Also if you travel on Stagecoach buses any single journey is just 50p with a student card so getting to where you need to be shouldn’t hit your wallet too badly, leaving you with more money to spend on the fun things!

You can find out all you need to know about the city’s bus, train and excellent tram network at Travel South Yorkshire. (www.travelsouthyorkshire.com).
