Biography

Indie jangle-pop outfit, The Plastic Youth, are a Glasgow-based four-piece, infusing psychedelic undertones with sugary, infectious melodies, to create something special. 
 After many formative years of gigging the indie-circuit (performing at the likes of Sound-City, Tenement Trail, King-Tuts, and Saint Lukes), The Plastic Youth have garnered support from BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland with their early demos, “Sweet Dreamer” and “Comfort”. 
 Determined to deliver a unique angle on the indie music scene, The Plastic Youth have since written and recorded a fresh batch of songs at Riverside Studios with studio engineer and co-producer, Ross Cameron, and producer, Gerry Love (formerly of Teenage Fanclub). “No Beginning", released in May 2022 was the first single from this new batch of releases. Next up was there most recent single “Big Thief”. The Plastic Youth are making headway and gathering momentum for an exciting gig-packed year of releases.
