Wrestling attracts an eccentric mix of people
Doncaster, UK (12 January 2012)
What do an actor, a stage manager, catering assistant, barman, retail supervisor, high school pastoral mentor and a fitness fanatic have in common?
Every other weekend they all come together to put on Lycra and throw themselves around in a wrestling ring and will be doing so again on Friday 2nd March 2012; when they compete at the Harvey Theatre, Doncaster as part of City of Steel Wrestlings latest show.
Unorthodox will feature a school pastoral mentor whose alternative persona is the millionaire Poison Paul Parisio, a hated figure who looks down at everybody. The show will also feature a barman and a retail supervisor who form the fan favourite tag team Living Colour DaVito and Gareth Angel.
The show is set to be a firm favourite for all ages. CSW promoter Richard Jubb stated Our shows may not have the pyrotechnics and enormous screens that the big American promotions have but, we promise you all the action, all the glitz and all the glamour that only a night at a professional wrestling event can provide.
Appearing on the shows main event are superstars that have travelled the world and worked with some of the biggest names in the business. Parisio trained in the USA under the legends Dory Funk Jr and Terry Funk while his opponent on the night Wonderkid Jonny Storm has wrestled in all the big UK promotions as well as US promotions Ring of Honor (ROH) and TNA Wrestling. This collision of international superstars is the first of a best of 5 series for the vacant CSW Championship.
Also set to appear are guys going by names like Aussie Bruce, Wall $treet Wayne Wild, Robbie X, D-MAC, Shaun Cross, Desperado and Jack Hammer.
But its not all muscle bound men that grapple with each other. Another international superstar appearing in Doncaster that night will be Erin Angel, who took her craft to Canada and is due to tackle with rising star Hailee.
Tickets are available from the CSWs online store priced at just £8 and are selling out fast.
