Review of Luisa Omielan\'s DEAD FUNNY - Birmingham\'s Big Comedy Gala

We travelled up to see this incredible line up at the Hippodrome.

Always love Luisa, she is an incredible source of belly-aching laughter. Such an inspiration in every single way. This time, we got to see her AND her pals. What a treat that was! And all for a good cause - Helena's Hospice Foundation.

Big shout out to all the acts on the night - Suzi Ruffell, Sara Pascoe, Ellie Taylor, Dan Nightingale, The Uptone Girls, Aaron Twitchen, Darshan Sanghrajka, Iain Stirling and Tez Illyas.

It was such a variety - like turning up to a dinner with Luisa and her mates, each one hilarious. All of the acts were outstanding but if I were made to pick (I shouldn't be made to pick) beyond Luisa of course, Suzi Ruffell, Sara Pascoe, Darshan Sanghrajka and Tez Illyas were particular favourites of mine. They all need more airtime!

Fantastic evening and hope Luisa does this again next year - we'll be there 100%.
