Review of The Comedy Cabaret - Glasgow - Saturday Night Show
I hate to leave a bad review to any venue but this was more than deserved. An overly officious member of staff spent time walking past last row of our seating telling customers to "Shush no talking during act" A comedy club relies on audience participation so I found this amazing that staff don't realise this. When she was as equally noisy while chatting to her colleague I reminded her of earlier comment to us. She took umbrage at this, called over her manager who escalated situation by calling security. Sadly they asked us to leave after only 1 act. We have numerous witnesses who will confirm the staff were bang out of order. We will not return to this venue, will be telling as many people as possible of our bad experience and would advise anyone planning to visit a show here to seriously consider if they want to sit in silence being treated like children by the staff. This is no reflection on Skiddle as I have attended many events with them and is purely directed at Blackfriars staff.

Very cramped, think they put in more seats than the venue could hold. no room between rows of seats, a lot of waiting around to get served at the bar in between acts. Only 2 bar tenders which held up the show. Average comedians.

Review of The Comedy Cabaret - Glasgow - Friday Night Show
Apart from the compère who was brilliant the acts were
1st: Dire, not funny, couldn’t sing, couldn’t play guitar and was generally rubbish. If the show was free I still would have been disappointed so having paid was a sore yin.
2nd, was just ok, not particularly funny, observational humour timing was poor and just not entertaining.
3rd was obviously more experienced and was better at reading the room and generated laughter.
On the whole I don’t like this venue it’s too cramped and too dingy, seating is awful and the toilets are disgusting.
