JIMPSTER invites DJ MARKY tickets

To say we’re excited about this one is an understatement!  Jimpster Invites DJ Marky is officially ON!

On September 13th the legendary Brazilian DJ and producer will be joining us at Acanteen for what will definitely be one for the books.  An absolute bundle of positivity and good vibes, music beams from Marky like rays of sunshine and anyone who has ever danced to one of his incredible sets or masterful productions will attest to just how infectious his energy is.  Having produced a bonafide Drum n Bass classic in the form of ‘LK' alongside XRS and Stamina MC his influence on DnB cannot be overstated and confirmed by a quick look at his diary taking in headline sets at leading clubs and festivals the world over.  But far from just running tings in DnB, Marky ruled the Twitch airwaves during the pandemic with his consistently brilliant ‘Influences' sets beamed from record room of his home in São Paulo.  Here he got to treat us all to his vast vinyl collection playing everything from 80’s boogie, soul, hip hop, funk and disco through to house and rave classics.  We couldn’t get enough of these shows so we’re so excited to have a true musical giant join us in Chelmsford playing the music that has influenced him over the years.   Support from Danny Bounce, another excellent DJ whose hip hop and turntablist roots create fast moving, energetic sets taking in rare gems and choice classics alike.
