Shakatak | Jazz-Funk on Wednesday 1st May 2024
Though they’ve been filling dancefloors for more than 40 years, Shakatak somehow managed to retain their unique status as both a cool cult band and a household name.
Weaving a potent dose of perfect pop into their unmistakable brand of jazz funk, they became one of the biggest bands of the 80s, producing a string of timeless classics including Easier Said Than Done, Down On The Street and Night Birds. Funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter, they’re still firing on all cylinders with the same effervescent energy they made their name with. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see them in the intimate setting of Boisdale Canary Wharf.
